It all began in June 2025, during the ceremony marking the graduation of the 24th promotion of active officer cadets. On this occasion, the President of Burkina Faso, Supreme Commander of the National Armed Forces, presents his vision of a modern military complex, more spacious and better adapted to the needs of an army called upon to strengthen its autonomy. The announcement then sets a clear objective for the authorities and the teams responsible for its implementation.

What followed testifies to a desire for rapid execution. The work is progressing and gradually transforming the site intended to accommodate this new military institution. A few months later, on July 25, 2026, the 25th class of officer cadets officially took possession of the premises during a ceremony organized on the esplanade of the AMGN. The project thus goes beyond the stage of intentions to become a visible reality.

Beyond its military nature, this achievement reflects a new conception of public action. The infrastructure built is an investment in the training, discipline and preparation of future cadres of the National Armed Forces. They also symbolize the authorities’ desire to focus on tangible results rather than repeated promises.

With the Georges-NAMOANO Military Academy, Burkina Faso is therefore putting forward a governance focused on implementation.
