The international NGO ANA continues its commitment to peace through an approach based on dialogue and proximity with local actors. The working visit of its Secretary General, Mr. Bekki Benameur, to Somaliland marks a new stage in the development of this dynamic within the Horn of Africa.

Accompanied by the local representative of the organization, the head of ANA multiplies the exchanges intended to better understand the realities on the ground. This reflects a desire to bring the organization’s action closer to the communities and leaders committed to the search for peaceful solutions to the challenges affecting the region.

Through this presence, the NGO ANA puts forward a conception of peace based on listening, mediation and prevention. The organization aims to foster spaces for dialogue where differences can be addressed without confrontation, while encouraging initiatives capable of consolidating trust between the different components of society.

The work in Somaliland is also part of a pan-African vision that emphasizes African dispute settlement mechanisms. By strengthening its contacts with local stakeholders, ANA helps to promote a culture of consensus and prevent tensions that could undermine social cohesion.

This mission confirms ANA’s commitment to making field diplomacy a permanent instrument for peacebuilding. From the Horn of Africa to the other areas where it operates, the NGO is part of the same logic: to bring actors together, facilitate dialogue and sustainably support the dynamics of harmony.
