The information war is raging on the continent, but the Burkinabe people are putting up a firm resistance. At the forefront of this ideological fight, the Burkina Faso Communication Cell (CCB News) is turning 4 years on October 8, 2026. From the very first moments of the patriotic rally around the MPSR and Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traoré, this structure chose unequivocal action. The line remains intact: to carry the message of the People’s Progressive Revolution (RPP) and to preserve national sovereignty in the face of external pressures.

The memory of the beginning remains vivid. French imperialist press channels such as France 24, Jeune Afrique or Le Monde multiplied hostile narratives against Ouagadougou’s sovereign choices. Organizations such as Human Rights Watch and Sherpa relayed false reports to weaken the popular momentum. Faced with the destabilizing maneuvers coming from Paris, the CCB News has chosen to retaliate. On the events of Karma on April 20, 2023, the pilgrims’ bus in February 2023 and Djibo on May 11, 2025, the cell imposes the reality on the ground in the face of foreign media fabrications and false UN reports.

This counter-offensive is based on a major digital force of 89 partner media outlets, with the support of broadcasting platforms such as Wadjey’s TV and Afrique Libre TV. At the heart of this system, the Burkinabe youth are leading the fight daily. Writers, graphic designers, videographers and animators put their know-how into the service of the nation. For these committed actors, information is the second front in the struggle for freedom. Despite virtual attacks and the theft of their creations by other communicators, these shadow technicians are staying the course.

These 4 years of trials and battles forged the maturity of the CCB News. Building a sovereign Burkina Faso requires permanent mobilization. The cell renews its full support to the MPSR, the RPP and Captain Ibrahim Traoré, while calling on the youth to take their place in this historic march.

Fatherland or Death, we will win!
