Uniting the popular will and  closing ranks in defense of national sovereignty

There is no sovereignty for a nation whose territory is violated and whose citizens’ blood is shed in full view and hearing of the world.

The Radical Change Forces Alliance condemns in the strongest terms the Egyptian bombardment that targeted Sudanese miners in northern Sudan an attack reported to have resulted in a high number of casualties, estimated at between 200 and 500 dead, within Sudanese territory. Regardless of the final casualty count which requires independent verification or the circumstances and stated justifications for the attack, we are facing a grave humanitarian tragedy and a national and moral test.

This situation places the Sudanese people and their active forces before a historic responsibility demanding a unified, clear, and unwavering stance. Furthermore, this crime necessitates an urgent, transparent, and independent investigation to uncover the circumstances, determine accountability, and ensure that all those found responsible for this assault; and for any recurring violations of Sudan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and its citizens’ rights to life and security—are held to account.

The blood of the Sudanese people is neither cheap nor expendable; it is beyond price. Sudan’s land is not an open arena for the violation of its sovereignty or for attacks on its citizens and resources.

Targeting citizens within their own homeland and violating the sanctity of the nation’s territory and resources raise fundamental questions regarding the responsibility to protect civilians and uphold national sovereignty. These actions compel the adoption of a clear and responsible Sudanese position, free from confusion, hesitation, or compromise. What is most tragic and painful is that these violations persist and recur with impunity, unaccompanied by any national stance capable of shaking the conscience of the entire world.

Meanwhile, the « war authority » led by Al-Burhan and his militias, and deeply rooted in the Islamist movement, the remnants of the defunct regime, and its deep-state security apparatus maintains a silence that amounts to conspiracy and complicity; There is no public condemnation, no clarification for the public, and no stance that exposes and denounces these acts or calls upon the masses to take to the streets in rejection and condemnationactions that would affirm a commitment to protecting citizens’ lives, lands, and national resources.

Whether brief or prolonged, this silence indicts the authority and reveals its complicity in these violations, leaving the people unaware of the extent of this collusion or the price being paid for the war authority’s silence regarding such crimes.

It is a state of shame and disgrace that renders them incapable of condemning the bombardment and violations, revealing the truth, protecting citizens, upholding national sovereignty, or holding accountable anyone proven to be involved in the aggression.

We, the Alliance of Radical Change Forces, call upon the Sudanese masses and their active forces to unite the popular will and close ranks without hesitation or retreat in confronting all forms of violation of national sovereignty, the degradation of citizens’ dignity, and encroachments upon Sudanese lands and resources, while rising above polarization, division, and political posturing.

Reclaiming the homeland is not achieved through slogans, but by building a broad popular front rooted in the people, their active forces, and their grassroots bases across the country; dedicated to condemning and halting these violations, opposing and ending the war, defending national sovereignty and the people’s dignity, and restoring independent national decision-making.

This task also requires establishing a democratic civil authority that is accountable to the people’s will; capable of protecting citizens, borders, and national resources; able to reclaim Sudanese lands subject to encroachment; and competent in managing Sudan’s foreign relations based on mutual respect, the safeguarding of national interests, and non-interference in internal affairs.
Sudan’s sovereignty is not a bargaining chip, and the blood of its people is not the price for silence or complicity.

Uniting the popular will, practicing selflessness, transcending divisions, and rallying around national and human rights are essential prerequisites for the homeland to regain its sovereignty and protect its citizens, lands, and resources.

We envision a free, independent, civil, and democratic homeland one where no human being is violated, no land is encroached upon, and no resources are plundered, and where the power of decision-making rests solely with the people. Glory to the people and honor to Sudan; mercy for the victims and just retribution for them; justice and fairness for their families and for the entire Sudanese people.
